Medical Technologist Location: Corpus Christi, TX Agency: Jackson HealthPros Pay: $1,157 to $1,357 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/27/2026 About the Position Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or equivalent laboratory training meeting CLIA requirements. Graduates from NAACLS-accredited programs are acceptable. Certification required: MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS. If certification has an expiration date, it must be maintained and current. New graduates must be board certified or board eligible and must complete board certification within one year of hire. Minimum experience: Prefer a minimum of 3 years as a generalist. New graduates with appropriate training are eligible per CLIA/NAACLS guidance. Required clinical rotation or experience in Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids within the last 5 years, or equivalent approved clinical experience. Experience with Sysmex, Abbott Alinity, and EPIC is preferred. Demonstrated competence performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, quality control, instrument operation/maintenance, and use of a Laboratory Information System. Ability to cross-train across laboratory sections and perform specimen processing, documentation of critical values, and participate in procedure development. BLS certification. Ability to meet applicable competency frameworks and adhere to compliance, regulatory, and institutional policies. Assignment Details Facility type: Hospital Shift: Days Shift hours: 05:00–13:30 Work type: Full Time Multiple shift availability required; candidates should be available for day and evening rotations as needed.
