Job Description We are seeking a Maintenance/Custodian to become a part of our team You will perform necessary work to keep machines, mechanical equipment, and structure of an establishment in repair. Ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily general janitorial & maintenance of the all buildings located on both our Portland and Corpus locations. Responsibilities: Repair major and minor issues with equipment and buildings Complete maintenance and repair work orders, in a timely fashion Replace broken parts or equipment Maintain a clean and a safe work space Routine Cleaning tasks using proper chemicals and equipment Porter - Clean bathrooms and maintain supplies throughout day Replenish supplies: air fresheners, hand sanitizer, soap, hand towels, toilet paper, cups, plates, silverware as needed Collect and dispose of trash in and outdoor areas Dust & sanitize all surfaces Clean windows and mirrors Clean floors by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, waxing, and scrubbing using electric walk behind floor machine Clean walls, baseboards, and vents Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place back in correct placement Seek out areas requiring cleaning Notify management of repairs as needed Assist in setting up classrooms, board room, and other areas as needed for meetings, events, or presentations Keep inventory of all janitorial stock and submit purchase request as needed Organize and stock janitorial supply room Keep area safe when cleaning by using cones or signage Ensure vending machines are maintained Replace A/C filters once a quarter or as needed depending on traffic of trainees Replace light bulbs Perform ground maintenance / lawn care (weedeater, mowing, spraying, trim bushes as needed) Pressure washing outside of building, windows, sidewalks, parking lot once a year Painting and touchup as needed inside and outside of buildings Properly use and store maintenance tools and equipment Conduct monthly fire inspections for elevators Escort vendors on campus to work site locations with in buildings/property Assist other maintenance/carpenter personnel with projects or building repairs Perform other duties, as assigned Physical Requirements : Requires bending, stooping, reaching, standing, lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions/tasks Must be able to lift and handle objects weighing 25lbs or more in a safe manner Operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations Qualifications: Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields Familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment Deadline and detail-oriented Ability to handle physical workload Dependable and reliable Company Description The CSCCB is a 501(c)3 nonprofit training and education organization located in Corpus Christi, Texas. The CSCCB delivers safety and site-specific training and job safety orientations to contractors and employees of numerous refining and petrochemical, and chemical plants on the Texas Gulf Coast.
