Job Description:
Overview / Responsibilities
Looking for a long-term career opportunity? Wood is recruiting for
a full-time, fully benefited, LDAR/ Environmental Technician in
Three Rivers, TX . The T echnician collects environmental samples
from a variety of media including soil, sediment, groundwater, air,
etc. Candidate will be expected to travel more than 50% of the
time. Wood offers health benefits, 401k, vacation and more
**Local candidates only. Must live within a 60 mile radius. No per
diem or lodging offered.**
Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from
Wood is required
Roles and Responsibilities:
Collect sediment, soil and groundwater samples and prepare samples
for testing, record data, and prepare summary reports
Conduct indoor air quality investigations
Perform field tests according to prescribed procedures, processes
and standards using field instruments and other environmental
equipment
Prepare and maintain field logs and prepare reports
electronically
Accurate and appropriate data gathering in support of performed
field activities, with subsequent generation of clearly-written and
understandable daily field reports
Diagnose well and surface equipment problems and identify downhole
failures
Isolate process and malfunctioning equipment-perform energy
isolation until repairs are made
Maintain production regularity per the direction of Production
Foreman and/or Plant Supervisor
Gather and calculate the emission flow rates
Perform Method 19 visual inspections
Oversee internal combustion engine emission test and compliance
test and reporting
Perform LDAR policies and procedures following tasks at assigned
project site
Daily analyzer calibration
Routine repair and maintenance of analyzers
Quarterly certification of analyzers
Coordinate LDAR field activities with LDAR contract technicians
Maintain and complete monitoring schedules
Repair leaking components
Generate work requests and follow up on LDAR maintenance
repairs
Maintain record keeping on monitoring and repairs
Maintain identification of LDAR components and applicability
reviews
Perform other daily operation and maintenance tasks of routine
nature
Troubleshoot abnormal production conditions
Interact with relevant personnel to help reduce fugitive
emissions
Has knowledge about relevant state and federal requirements to LDAR
and fugitive emissions
Advanced knowledge of Fluid Mechanics: Pressure, Level, Flow,
Temperature & Level parameters, measurement
Advanced knowledge of Surface Equipment design, Operation and
Maintenance of Wellhead and Downhole, Artificial lift, separation
equipment, central facilities, compressor generators control
systems and Pipeline, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P &
ID''s)
Use SAP PM and Microsoft Office
Advanced understanding of surface equipment, normal conditions and
abnormal conditions for reporting purposes; and leaks
Hazard recognition and reporting for risks associated with
Well-Site Facilities
Environmental and Regulatory Inspection Criteria
Knowledge in best practices for installation, construction and
maintenance
Knowledgeable of local regulatory requirements
Skilled in word processing; presentation and spreadsheet software
with the ability to learn new programs
Ability to perform as a (QPA) Qualified Permitting Authority
(Onshore) with comprehensive knowledge of (WR's) Safe Work
requirements
Knowledge of or a familiarity with all gas and fluid guidelines
API guidelines
Familiarity with the use of hand tools/instruments necessary to
perform electrical/electronic/instrument maintenance. Exceptional
computer skills
Previous experience working in an industrial capacity (i.e.
fitting, welding, instrumentation, etc,) or refining capacity (i.e.
operations, maintenance, etc.) is preferred
LDAR/Fugitive Emission Monitoring (Method 21) with TVA 1000B and
calibration experience is preferred
Skills / Qualifications
3-5 years experience
High School Diploma or GED
