Branch/Project Manager is responsible for cultivating company
culture and demonstrating MNLSA's core values.
Branch/Project Manager is responsible for overall operations of the
branch, including supervising multiple superintendents that oversee
landscape & irrigation installation projects of all sizes.
Communicate company goals to management and employees and lead
staff to attain the goals that are developed.
Facilitate employees' professional development and training and act
as both a motivator and mentor to his/her staff.
Interview and make recommendations for hiring of all branch
management and supervisor staff. Final hiring will be coordinated
with owner approval.
Perform annual performance evaluations of staff as well as
recommending promotions, employee discipline, termination and wage
Review bi-weekly payroll time entry promptly and approve all
overtime and time off requests.
Set revenue goals and establish budgets for the branch.
Provide accurate monthly billings on a timely basis and assist AR
Organize and lead weekly production meetings.
Facilitate and direct budget preparation, establish pricing,
develop and implement the marketing and advertising plans.
Routinely report the actual results of operations and sales versus
the budget goals, developing and implementing adjustments as
necessary to meet corporate objectives as defined.
Improve the gross profit for the division.
Review and approve all supplier/vendor invoices for the
Code and log all landscape material invoices. Review purchase
orders issued on a daily basis.
Collaborate with chief estimator to prioritize bid
Oversee estimating department and review all estimates.
Evaluate potential subcontractors for suitability for projects.
Upon award of new jobs: confirm estimates versus contract amounts,
review and approve all contracts to be signed by executive board
Maintain contact with customers and develop relationships for
future project opportunities. Coordinate pre-construction meetings
with superintendents, assistant superintendents and foreman,
covering special details or nuances of the installation to maximize
Provide superintendents with all up to date estimates, plans,
specifications and contractor contact information prior to start of
job and upload all documents to Plan Grid.
Assist project supervisor, and field employees with field related
matters and technical tasks as necessary. Perform site analyses
that includes assessment of current topographies and soil
conditions. Verify plants specified and their ability to survive,
check city codes prior to installation of projects.
Ensure team requests materials for all landscape and irrigation
field operations based off of budget, plans and specifications.
Analyze budget variances and recommend strategies to lower project
Responsible for coordinating submittals and revisions as needed for

invoices to AP for processing within 24 hours of purchases.
Work with operations to ensure construction services are delivered
according to contract.

Respond to RFIs, ASIs, PR requests, etc., and utilize these to sell

contract documentation with subcontractor.
Frequently visit all job sites to monitor production levels and to
ensure high quality standards.
Generate RFIs as needed from questions generated from operations
team or site visits.
Ensure superintendent has all applicable permits and schedule
subsequent inspections, to include digging utility marking request,
prior to execution.
Communicate with superintendents regarding punch list items to
ensure timely substantial completion.
Ensure superintendent has all subcontractors and purchase orders
maintained, managed and aligned with each project. Verify contract
orders, PO requests, and subcontractor agreements.
Prepare, submit and review all requests for contract change
Maintain accurate and up to date files for each project, including
Plangrid project profiles.
Review all information and approve all draw requests.
Ensure all closeout documents are delivered to customer.
Communicate with superintendents regarding necessity of warranty
Obtain final acceptances, compile and issue terms and conditions of
warranty. Conduct orderly transfer to maintenance division, or
referral to others as required.
Authorize all warranty work and participate in its scheduling.
Prior to the expiration of warranty periods, conduct site reviews
with the owner and landscape architect. Notify owners in writing of

Distribute branch financials monthly and create goals for the
branch in regards to the financials. Enforce "Safety and Driver
Safety" policies at all times and take necessary disciplinary

Participate in monthly safety meetings with managers, supervisors

Be mindful of brand awareness and ensure fleet and crews are clean
and represent the company well.
