Description Summary: Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, performs all processes that relate to the delivery of direct and assistive quality patient care in the C-section room or delivery room. Is a member of the surgical team and scrubs and assists surgeons as directed. When not assisting with a delivery, the tech will assist with answering call lights and telephones; will pick up meal trays and return them to Nutrition Services; will keep triage room ready for patients, including but not limited to changing linen, cleaning bed space, and emptying trash. The tech will also provide basic patient care by assisting patients to the restroom and by transferring patients to triage, radiology, or patient rooms. The tech will also be responsible for stocking the department with appropriate supplies to pre determined par levels. CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Alice a Texas Ten Steps Designated Facility - Womens Services is comprised of Registered Nurses, License Vocational Nurses and OB scrub techs. We deliver excellent care to our soon-to-be moms, laboring moms, delivering moms and new moms, and help them prepare for the most exciting experience of being a new mom or new parents. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Previous surgical tech experience preferred. CPR-(American Heart Associate). Completion of an O.R.T. program preferred. Work Type: Full Time
