* DutiesHelp## Duties### Summary**About the Position:**This job provides the opportunity to support the mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot; which is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. The Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance and is the world's largest helicopters overhaul and repair facility.Learn more about this agency### Responsibilities* You as well as the employees are required to be certified Level II in Magnetic Particle (MT) and Penetrant Inspection (PT) methods of Non-Destructive testing.* Plan use of equipment, facilities, and materials. Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plan work assignments based on general work schedules, methods/policies.* Determine number and types of workers needed to accomplish specific projects. I have the ability to perform common leading or supervising subordinates in performing NDT Level II inspection (IAW NAS 410) for Fluorescent Penetrant (PT), and Magnetic Particle (MT), Radiographic (RT), Eddy Current (ET), Ultrasonic (UT) inspections. Performing Level II inspections for the following five (5) inspections; Fluorescent Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Radiographic (RT), Eddy Current (ET), and Ultrasonic (UT) inspections. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.**Selective Placement Factors:**You MUST submit a copy of your license or certification with your application package or you will be rated ineligible.* NDT Level II Certification (IAW NAS 410) in Ultrasonic (UT) testing is required.* NDT Level II Certification (IAW NAS 410) in Eddy Current (EC) testing is required.* NDT Level II Certification (IAW NAS 410) in Radiographic (RT) testing is required.* NDT Level II Certification (IAW NAS 410) in Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) is required.* NDT Level II Certification (IAW NAS 410) in Florescent Penetrant Inspection (CPI) is required.* Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading)* Ability To Lead or Supervise* Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment* Dexterity and Safety* Knowledge of Metals* Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)* Use of Measuring Instruments* **PHYSICAL EFFORT:**The physical demands of this position range from light to heavy in physical exertions due to the equipment set-up requirements, type of materials and components. Mental alertness, manual dexterity and good eyesight are required.* **WORKING CONDITIONS:**Subject to numerous hazardous conditions due to, handling or association with chemicals, and radiographic elements. Included are toxic and skin irritating chemicals, fire hazards, and injurious rays (x-ray, etc.).
