Job Description:
Manage overall operation of the Behavior and Enrichment
Departments through strict compliance with Inotiv's SOPs, USDA,
AAALAC, CDC and other appropriate regulatory agencies.Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Behavior and Enrichment technicians in the
Behavior and Enrichment Department.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and weekly decisions of the
Behavioral Management/Enrichment Programs.
- Work in partnership with site management to ensure the social
management, behavioral observations and interventions, habituation
programs and positive reinforcement trainings of nonhuman primates
is optimal.
- Administer and maintain the training and development of
behavior/enrichment staff.
- Train all site personnel that work with nonhuman primates to
facilitate effective implementation of the Behavior Management
Program.
- Manage and advise on optimal enrichment and housing strategies
to continually promote species-specific behavior.
- Compile data to complete reports of progress on the
implementation and outcomes of the program activities.
- Participate in client and regulatory visits as assigned.
- Develop new approaches to existing processes and systems.
- Assist in employee relations (training, hiring, appraisals,
discipline, promotions).Principal Contacts

EnglishII.Education/Qualifications:Required:
- BA/BS in Science or Life Science preferred. A combination of
education and experience may be considered.
- AALAS certification at the LATG level
preferred.III.Experience:Required:
- Must have 5+ professional working experience in a laboratory
setting with nonhuman primates.
- Must have relevant supervisory experience.
- Ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and collaboration with a wide
variety of personnel.
- Understanding of the Animal Welfare Act and how it pertains to
the psychological well-being of nonhuman primates in laboratory
animal management.
- Computer skills: proficient with Word, Excel and
PowerPoint.Required:

- Normal laboratory setting plus outdoor work.VI.Special Factors:

qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or
years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the
level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and/or
