About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support.25% or less - This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.Yes-You may qualify for reimbursement of relocation expenses in accordance with agency policy.See "Who May Apply" in the "Qualifications" section for more information on who is eligible to apply for this position.

  • Serve as Chief of Staff for the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD), an industrial complex employing more than 3,650 civilians with a worldwide mission.
  • Oversee and manage organizational change, organizational culture, strategic management and planning, business outreach, reengineering, legislative change, information management, cost management and continuous process improvement.
  • Incumbent will operate with maximum freedom of action in decision-making in the development, implementation, and integration of highly technical and complex missions.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance (Tier 5: Special Sensitive, Critical Sensitive, Noncritical-Sensitive, High Risk).
  • This position is covered by the civilian drug testing program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R, condition of employment for certain civilian positions identified as critical under the drug abuse testing program.

      In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document .Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Developing policies or directives to support implementation of organizational policies, decisions, or priorities of the Commander; Using analytical techniques to improve effectiveness and efficiency throughout an organization; Explaining and defending policy and/or programs to others such as U.S. government, foreign government, business and industry representatives at the executive level; Resolving business problems with potentially long-range impact; AND Experience with motivating, influencing, and persuading persons or groups within or outside the organization to accept opinions, advice, or take action on complex and/or controversial issues.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

      Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

        Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). EducationThis job does not have an education qualification requirement.Additional information
