You will monitor and issue work flows, -daily/weekly production and quality rates, and ensure compliance with company objectives and standards. You will coordinate with Production Coordinators, Process Technicians, Product Launch Technicians, and other Section Leaders on workflow, quality issues, production goals, and training needs. -

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Planning daily production output by group/work-center and projects headcount requirements to ensure weekly delivery requirements are met.
• Managing operator-assignments on an hourly and daily basis to ensure plan is met and all operators have appropriate levels of work "in queue" and that any rush-assignments get due priority.
• Ensuring adequate training is provided that meets best practices.
• Coordinates with Process Technicians to ensure proper training materials are used and made available.
• Encouraging team building and cohesion within the section.
• Working with Plant Management to ensure performance standards are consistently met and recommends special recognition when necessary. -
  WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing/planning workloads in a production-style environment.
  • Hands-on experience leading and training a team of direct operators/technicians in a production-style environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to attain detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes within the section.
  • Ability to perform basic level math including formulas, averaging, and percentages.
  • Ability to accurately determine weights and dimensional measurements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), conducting Internet research, and electronic file maintenance & organization.
  • Ability to pass a background check as well as an alcohol and illegal drug screen.
