The Graduate Recruitment Coordinator plans, organizes, and coordinates recruitment activities to recruit and enroll prospective graduate students to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. During peak times, the Graduate Recruitment Coordinator also assists with application operations relative to the receipt, posting, and processing of applications for admission to the University. This position reports to the Director of Graduate Recruitment & Admissions


  • 35% - Advise prospective graduate students on admission requirements prior to applying for admissions to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Coordinate and facilitate graduate and professional school visits and other recruitment programs designed to attract graduate students.
  • 30% - Recruit graduate students during the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers (TACRAO) and Texas Graduate Admission Professionals (TxGAP) recruiting season and other programs and activities to yield graduate students to the university.
  • 20% - Assist with the day-to-day operations involved in the admissions process, specifically related to the application process and the issuance of admission decisions at the graduate level.
  • 10% - Assist with answering phones and providing customer service. Provide support for other recruitment, admission and retention activities supported and or sponsored by the Office of Recruitment and Admissions and/or the Division of Enrollment Management.
  • 5% - Other duties as assigned by the Director of Graduate Recruitment & Admissions or designee.

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Two (2) years of related experience in admissions, student recruiting, college relations, or marketing.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively in a courteous and professional manner with diverse populations in person, telephone, and email.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) and databases.
    • Ability to work outside regular business hours and weekends as needed.
    • Attention to detail. Self-motivated and self-directed.

      • Bachelor's degree in related field.
      • Experience in university admissions, recruitment, enrollment, or student service area.
      • Experience with Banner Student Information System, Laserfiche, Argos and Customer Relations Management Software

        SALARY RANGE: $41,400 to $43,200 annually.
