Job Summary: This is a temporary position not to exceed 60 days.Provides broad administrative and secretarial support with minimal supervision to specified Manager(s)/Director(s). Uses greater judgment and initiative to determine the approach of action to take in non-routine situations, interprets and adapts guidelines, including unwritten policies, precedents, and practices, which are not always completely applicable to the changing situations. Duties include or are comparable to the following:Essential Responsibilities:1. Manage the office of a member of a specified manager(s)/director(s). Based on knowledge of the manager(s)/director(s) views, compose correspondence on own initiative about administrative matters and general office policies for manager(s)/director(s) approval.2. Anticipate and prepare material needed by the manager(s)/director(d) for conferences, correspondence, appointments, meetings, telephone calls, etc., and informs manager(s)/director(s) on matters to be considered.3. Read publications, regulations, reports and directives and take action or refer those that are important to the manager(s) director(s) and staff.4. Prepare special or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources such as reports, documents, correspondence, other offices, etc., under general direction and for the decision making process.5.In concert with the Director(s) or Manager(s), design and implement the necessary business processes to cause the effective functioning of the office.6.Prepares, proofreads and distributes correspondence. Composes own correspondence as well as correspondence for signature including the execution and distribution of reports. Also, prepares special or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries under general direction.7.Screens, directs, and handles incoming telephone calls and requests. Responds to inquiries exercising significant initiative and judgment based on knowledge of policies and procedures including answering customer inquiries, acting as a liaison.8.Opens, reviews and processes correspondence and other incoming information.9.Organizes and maintains departmental files in accordance with applicable procedures.10.Conducts data entry input and generat0es reports as required. Also, creates and maintains spreadsheets and other databases as required.11.Schedules appointments, arranges meetings, and prepares required materials. May attend meetings and records and report on proceedings.Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting upto 35 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. Position may require travel.Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.Other Responsibilities:Safety - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent.2 years related job experience.Must have valid driver's license.Must be a U.S. Citizen.Must have some time keeping experience.
