The Transportation Specialist works in collaboration with the Mobile Scheduling Team to drive the mobile units to assigned location and prepare the unit for daily operations supporting the PSU providers and support team, and contracted physicians. The Transportation Specialist will also serve as a courier in delivering and collecting GrandPads around the Houston surrounding area to patients for their scheduled virtual visit with their provider, and in delivering medical records to contracted providers upon completion of their medical exam. Additionally, they are responsible for the storage and maintenance of the units mechanically and aesthetically to ensure mobile units are represented under the WellMed Clinic standards for safety and environment. When the Transportation Specialist is not driving the mobile unit, he/she will support the PSU Scheduling Team in scheduling preventative screenings for WellMed patients whose quality metrics need to be measured and captured.

Primary Responsibilities: Driving the mobile unit to various locations in Corpus Christi, and surrounding areas including but not limited to the Greater Texas Market Drive the mobile unit to and from the designated areas, complying with all motor vehicle codes and regulations Complies with departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code Prepares the mobile clinic to receive staff, patients, and visitors Demonstrates excellent customer service with patients and staff Assists in safe unloading, assisting patients to mobile clinic, and assisting back to transportation Assist in patient intake (name, paperwork collection) Communicates daily and directly with patients, visitors, providers and staff throughout the mobile clinics. Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the department as well as proper release of information Prepares the mobile clinic for next day clinic for readiness (generator, water, waste disposal) Provides cleaning services during and after daily use of the mobile clinic or as directed Secures the mobile clinic nightly at approved location site or at storage unit Maintains mobile clinic maintenance records Report minor mechanical preventative maintenance needs to the Director/VP Outreaches to patient to schedule preventative visits and updates all patient demographics in electronic health record Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED For insurability purposes, must be at least 25 years of age or older with a valid driver's license and be able to pass a pre-employment and regularly scheduled post-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) inquiries. Effective verbal skills and basic computer skills Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive VoiceResponse (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained You will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this role
