The purpose of this job is to provide electrical maintenance
support. The incumbent will be responsible for installing, testing
and maintaining industrial electrical equipment and control systems
in a safe manner.
Duties could include, but are not limited to installing,
connecting, maintaining and troubleshooting:
+ Low and medium voltage motor control systems, switchgear,
transformers, substations instrument cable and signal cable
+ Building and area lighting systems
+ Electric motors and generators
+ Motor drives systems (synch./induction/DC/VFD)
+ UPS systems and other power conversion devices.

+ Able to work a 4-10 work schedule. (4 shifts per week, 10 hour

journeyman electrician, including, but not limited to:
+ Operation and construction of low and medium voltage
equipment, including motor starters, circuit breakers, control
circuits, induction/synchronous/DC motors, motor drives, UPS
systems and other power conversion devices; current transformers
(CT) and voltage/potential transformers (VT/PT) circuits and basic
relaying circuits; National Electrical Code
+ Comfortable and competent to work with energized control and
protection circuits within the allowances and requirements of the
Electrical Work Practices procedures
+ Able to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams as well
as troubleshoot control circuits from such drawings.
+ Good interpersonal skills are required, both written and
