In addition to operating the system and resolving common error conditions, this individual diagnoses and acts on machine stoppage and error conditions not fully covered by existing procedures and guidelines (e.g., resetting switches and other controls or making mechanical adjustments to maintain or restore equipment operations). In response to computer output instructions or error conditions, the employees in this role may deviate from standard procedures if standard procedures do not provide a solution and refers problems which do not respond to corrective procedures to a person of supervisory or higher individual contributor level Essential functions to include: --- Shall continuously observe the operation of the console panel, storage devices, printers, and the action of the console printer to monitor the system and determine the point of job steps to continue operations when individual units of the system malfunction. --- Ability to manipulate controls to rearrange sequence of job steps to continue operations in the event that individual units of the system malfunction. --- Must possess a strong desire to provide excellent customer service solutions and interact with coworkers and clients in a courteous and professional manner. --- Perform other duties as assigned Requirements --- High school diploma or GED required. --- Minimum of two years direct related experience in the subject matter area. Supervisory experience highly desired. --- Information System Security Level III certification is required, refer to DoD Directive 8570.1 IAT --- Level III certification prerequisites. --- Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking effectively in English. --- Comprehensive computer/PC knowledge required including; spreadsheet software, word processing software and knowledge of MS Office Suite. --- Valid driver---s license, current vehicle registration and certificate of insurance is required for privately owned vehicles seeking permission to access Corpus Christi Army Depot. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Individual must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a favorable security clearance. Current Security Clearance / favorable NACI highly desired. Ability to access and successfully maintain access to government / military installations is a requirement of this position.
