Del Mar College is seeking faculty members who are innovative
thinkers, adaptive, engaging teachers across modalities, leaders in
meaningful service and engaging in community outreach. The purpose
of this full time, tenure track position is to teach required
contact hours/lecture equated per regular semester that could
include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college classes.
Travel may be required for dual-credit classes.Del Mar College is a
two-year college with a progressive architectural/architectural
technology program preparing students for transfer into a NAAB
accredited architecture program at a four-year university or
assists students on the architectural technology pathway. The
Architectural/Drafting Technology program is now housed in a
brand-new state-of-the-art building located at the new Oso Creek
Campus designed by Gensler for our continued growth. Del Mar
College is located in Corpus Christ, TX. This Sparkling City by the
Sea is located on the coastal bend of Southern Texas with a vibrant
culture, entertainment, and higher education. Please note that
relocation costs will not be covered by the College. Minimum
Qualifications: Bachelor---s degree in Architecture from a
NAAB-accredited institution plus architectural licensure in a US
jurisdictionORMaster---s degree in Architecture or Architectural
StudiesORMaster---s degree with 18 graduate hours in Architecture
Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching college level online
courses and/or experience in a college online learning management
system (e.g. Canvas, Blackboard). Successful college teaching
experience. Successful experience utilizing instructional
technologies, including computers, internet resources and other
appropriate media in instruction. Knowledge of and commitment to
teaching strategies and methods which enhance student success.
Knowledge of a learning college and/or knowledge of learning
communities. Computer skills in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Sketch Up,
and various products in the Adobe Creative Suite such as Photoshop,
Illustrator, and In Design preferred. Ability to teach and
communicate with students of varied multicultural backgrounds. Some
work experience in the realm of Architecture and/or related fields
