**Position Overview**
We are searching for an experienced executive recruiter as part of
the transformation of the Talent Acquisition (TA) function. As the
first dedicated executive recruiter in the TA team, this person
will co-create the executive recruiting strategy and purpose with
the VP, Global Talent Acquisition and key stakeholders.
This person will also partner closely with executive business
leaders, HR partners, and TA team members to proactively identify,
contact, and assess executive talent (generally Managing Director
and up) within the market while creating a differentiated executive
talent acquisition experience within Applied Materials. This person
will develop relationships with multiple hiring executives and be
the subject-matter expert for specialized executive talent
acquisition needs, including special projects. The candidate will
manage the recruitment strategy from the initial research and
planning phase, to candidate identification, assessment,
development and presentation.
**Reports To**
+ This position reports to the VP, Global Talent Acquisition.
**Location**
+ This role is not required to be in a specific location; however,
the successful candidate will be able to work across many time
zones, with a focus on U.S. Pacific time.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ As the first dedicated executive recruiter in the Talent
Acquisition team, the successful candidate will be a talent
acquisition consultant, innovator, and champion for change. Key
responsibilities include:
+ Set expectations and design the standards and future course for
the unique value of an executive recruiter as a key partner and
business enabler in the Talent Acquisition practice
+ Partner to design a differentiated and positive executive
recruiting experience for key stakeholders
+ Design and execute on diverse executive sourcing strategies
+ Foster key executive relationships across the business to
anticipate executive hiring needs for the next 1+ years, including
pipelines to fill succession gaps
+ Provide consultation to partners to assist with hiring decisions
and analysis of details of complex offers
+ Partner with Total Rewards, Immigration/Relocation teams, and
others to create competitive packages for key external talent
+ Develop and maintain a network of diverse industry contacts and
benchmarks, including candidate pipelines and market-related
compensation
+ Develop a strong understanding of business issues within the
industry to plan for searches and targeted candidates/companies
+ Provide counsel to hiring executives during assessment and
evaluation of candidates and act as primary negotiator and closer
of selected candidates; conduct thorough reference and background
checks on all finalist candidates
+ Position and effectively articulate the unique employment
brand
+ Define, lead, measure, and document initiatives related to
external talent
+ Provide leadership and consultation on various ad hoc projects
focused on executive human capital initiatives within the LOB
**Skills, Knowledge, and Experience**
+ 5+ years consulting with and recruiting senior executive leaders,
including C-suite, of large global companies.
+ Strong verbal and written executive communication skills.
+ Ideally, experience in Technology industry (especially
semi-conductor).
+ Proven ability to negotiate and consult on complex compensation
packages.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of best-practice executive talent
acquisition practices, including (but not limited to) developing
recruiting strategies, employing innovative sourcing methods,
partnering on executive compensation strategies, and working with a
diversity mindset.
+ Knowledge and effective risk management of OFCCP guidelines and
EEOC regulations (state and federal employment laws).
+ Proven success sourcing executive level candidates through
referrals, warm leads, and cold calls.
+ Demonstrated experience selecting, negotiating, and working with
external search firms and vendors.
+ Documented success in developing and executing diversity
recruiting strategies to identify diverse executive level
talent.
+ Proficient with talent acquisition technologies: contact
management, applicant tracking, diversity sourcing, etc.
