Job Summary and Qualifications: Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served. Coordinates the daily flow of surgical cases on his/her respective shift. Coordinates nursing process for patients undergoing procedures performed in department. May function in circulating and/or scrub roles based on job knowledge and experience. Assists with ensuring customer needs are met (staff, MD, Patient etc) Assists with maintaining an environment that promotes patient safety. Participates in seeking ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care and services provided Demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a productive manner. Ability to adapt communication approaches to different members of the interdisciplinary team. Serves as a clinical expert to staff and physician.
