Details - Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting - Night shift schedule: 7PM–7AM - 13-week contract Requirements - Active TX RN license or compact RN license with TX privilege required - Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Labor & Delivery or a perinatal setting - Current BLS certification required (AHA only) - Current ACLS certification required (AHA only) - Current NRP certification required - Current fetal monitoring certification required from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) - BSN preferred - Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate - US Social Security Number required for consideration Additional Information - Provides routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation - Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness - Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families - Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided - Assesses patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education - All newly hired RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days - New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with onboarding validated through organizational and Perinatal Services-specific competency assessments - Experience in a perinatal RN residency or recent perinatal practice is preferred American Traveler Job ID P-683974.
