Summary and Qualifications Performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging
procedures at a technical level which does not require direct
supervision and assumes the responsibility for designated areas or
procedures as required. What you will do in this role: Position and
transfers patients. Provides immobilization devices as required.
Selects proper technical protocols on an individual patient basis.
Operates equipment as directed. Provides Magnet protection in
accordance with prescribed safety standard. Practices sterile
techniques when necessary. Cross trains in specific areas as
assigned. May be required to train technologists in specific areas
Maintains own skills and understanding in innovations in techniques
and equipment in the field of magnetic resonance. Participates in
call system. Maintains adequate records as directed. Maintains
orderliness and cleanliness in the department. Cooperates with all
personnel in the proper conduct of the dept. Rotates within the
department by shift as required. Assists in equipment calibration.
Maintains ethical relationship’s with patients and peers. Subject
to rules and regulations of the Diagnostic Imaging dept and DRMC as
outlined in the respective procedure manuals. Other related duties
as assigned. What qualifications you will need: Associate Degree,
and High School Graduate / GED, or Vocational School Graduate Basic
Cardiac Life Support, or CPR, or CPR for Healthcare Providers, or
Heart Saver CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start
date (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARMRIT) American
Registry of MRI Technologists Corpus Christi Medical Center is a
630 bed healthcare system of hospitals in Corpus Christi and the
surrounding Coastal Bend community. Bay Area is our full-service
acute care hospital and offers state-of-the-art cardiovascular
