Job Summary and Qualifications Performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures at a technical level which does not require direct supervision and assumes the responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. What you will do in this role: - Position and transfers patients. - Provides immobilization devices as required. - Selects proper technical protocols on an individual patient basis. - Operates equipment as directed. - Provides Magnet protection in accordance with prescribed safety standard. - Practices sterile techniques when necessary. - Cross trains in specific areas as assigned. - May be required to train technologists in specific areas - Maintains own skills and understanding in innovations in techniques and equipment in the field of magnetic resonance. - Participates in call system. - Maintains adequate records as directed. - Maintains orderliness and cleanliness in the department. - Cooperates with all personnel in the proper conduct of the dept. - Rotates within the department by shift as required. - Assists in equipment calibration. - Maintains ethical relationship’s with patients and peers. - Subject to rules and regulations of the Diagnostic Imaging dept and DRMC as outlined in the respective procedure manuals. - Other related duties as assigned. What qualifications you will need: - Associate Degree, and High School Graduate / GED, or Vocational School Graduate - Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR, or CPR for Healthcare Providers, or Heart Saver CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date - (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARMRIT) American Registry of MRI Technologists Corpus Christi Medical Center is a 630 bed healthcare system of hospitals in Corpus Christi and the surrounding Coastal Bend community.
