Job Description Job Description Description: The Area Clinical
Manager is responsible for providing clinical leadership to
Clinical Directors in their sub-region, maintaining high clinical
quality standards for all patients and demonstrating exceptional
mentorship to Clinical Directors and BCBAs on their team. Duties
and Responsibilities: All duties as listed in the BCBA Clinical
Director job description for their home clinic Backfill for
Clinical Directors in their sub-region as needed to include the
following duties: Complete treatment plan second reviews as needed
for clinics they support Assist with monitoring CD completion of
Clinical Quality Checks Monitoring CD completion of Outcome
Measures spreadsheet Monitor authorization deadlines and timeliness
of submissions Assist with clinical projects as time allows
Identify and create BCBA growth opportunities in conjunction with
Director of Clinical Services Managing a team of BCBAs at clinics
they support: Complete performance evaluations for BCBAs
Collaborate on cases as needed (e.g. severe maladaptive behavior,
provide mentorship to expand scope of competence) Assist with
onboarding trainings for BCBAs/CD Assist with interviews for
BCBAs/CDs Include BCBAs at clinic they support in their own
clinic’s biweekly clinical reviews if needed Developing Clinical
track RBTs at clinics they support: Supervise and manage caseloads
for Case Managers (e.g. billing, mentorship, case oversight, etc.)
in conjunction with clinic BCBAs Onboarding Patients at clinics
they support: Assist with new patient intake process including:
Determining caseload placement as well as hour dosage and
appropriateness of clinic-based treatment in conjunction with the
BCBA Reviewing initial treatment plans written by BCBAs Assigning
outcome measures online to parents required by insurance and
following up to ensure completion Ensuring Clinical Quality at
clinics they support: Assist with addressing caregiver concerns in
a timely manner (BCBAs/OSS) Provide oversight on ongoing patient
programming to ensure high clinical quality including but not
limited to: Clinical quality checks Behavior intervention plan
checklists Review of treatment integrity data Observation and
assisting BCBAs with parent/caregiver trainings Ongoing treatment
plan reviews (initial and progress/concurrent) Regular observations
of protocol modification sessions across BCBAs and clients Assist
with peer review calls and insurance appeals Maintain treatment
authorization spreadsheets to ensure all treatment plans are
submitted on the established timeline (includes sending calendar
invites to BCBAs, updating dates, establishing additional
deadlines, etc.) Train BCBAs, technicians and OSS on Safety Sense
physical management techniques and maintain a training log to
ensure all staff are adequately trained in safety measures – when
traveling Complete Incident Analyses following staff incident
reports including an action plan to ensure safety in future
situations Monitor client incident reports and implement action
plans in conjunction with BCBAs as needed to ensure client safety
Requirements: Job Requirements Qualifications: Master’s degree in
behavior analysis or related field Certified as a BCBA with the
BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board) & Licensed Behavior
Analyst (LBA) in Texas Minimum of 5 years working with children
with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities
Minimum of 3 years working as a BCBA Minimum of 2 years experience
working as a Clinical Director Strong technical writing skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
Experience presenting to small and large groups of
parents/caregivers, teachers, and other professionals Skills and
Competencies: Planning and Evaluating (Workload Management) Problem
Solving Customer Service - Client/Patient Decision Making
Communication Physical Requirements: Must be able to move or
transport up to 50 lbs. Must be able to run or walk throughout
6–8-hour sessions (i.e., patient eloping) Must be able to respond
quickly to manage behaviors (i.e., block aggression, move
furniture) Must be able to be seated on the floor when needed for
patient Must be able to transition from seated on the floor to
standing quickly to respond to aggression/severe behavior Must be
able to bend or twist to utilize physical management Must be able
to safely implement QBS Safety Care procedures for aggressive
patients for extended periods of time when needed EBH provides
