Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Med/Surg) – Texas Start Date: December 22, 2025 Location: Corpus Christi, Texas Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Day or Night Shift available; 12-hour shifts with maximum patient ratio of 6:1 Highlights: 22-bed acute medical/surgical unit with specialized neuro patient population including stroke, TIA, and altered mental status cases Manage 4-6 patients per shift with support from charge nurses, PCAs, and unit secretaries Meditech EMR system for streamlined documentation and care coordination Standard nursing procedures including IV therapy, catheter care, central line maintenance, and NGT management Collaborative team environment with 30 staff members committed to patient-centered care Opportunity to float to other med/surg units for professional development Requirements: Current RN license in Texas or compact state eligibility Minimum 1 year of acute medical/surgical nursing experience within the last year Demonstrated ability to manage 4-6 patients simultaneously Preferred: 2 years of experience caring for neurological patients including CVA, TIA, and stroke recovery Proficiency in standard nursing skills including IV insertion, catheter placement and maintenance, continuous bladder irrigation, and central line care Why It's a Great Opportunity: Join a friendly, patient-focused team dedicated to delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
