Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist II to join our team at Christus Health. As a Clinical Pharmacist II, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of our pharmacy department.Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense drug orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Interpret drug orders (verbal and written) and transcribe/verify into computerized patient medication record accurately.
• Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including non-sterile and sterile products, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products accurately.
• Issue controlled substances to patient care areas and maintain records as required by law and institutional policies.
• Provide services efficiently and in a timely fashion.
• Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel, verifying daily activities of pharmacy technicians.
• Maintain competency required for current job title/position.
• Maintain current pharmacist license, ensuring applicable CE records and licensure are maintained in department files.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Complete all competency/skills assessment requirements.
• Provide analysis of medication use processes and contribute at least one related project per year.
• Ambulatory care Pharmacist: Provide ambulatory pharmaceutical care services utilizing approved protocols and/or collaborative agreement with other providers.Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required.
  • One of the following required: BPS Board Certification, Residency, Fellowship, or at least 5 years of hospital experience.Work ScheduleVariesWork TypeFull Time
