Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of nursing personnel in our patient care unit.Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing personnel in the patient care unit.
• Verify that patients' needs are met and evaluate unit nursing care and performance.
• Participate in planning work of assigned units and coordinate activities with other patient care units and related departments.
• Plan and organize training for unit staff members and participate in guidance and educational programs.
• Coordinate and direct prompt, efficient patient flow through the patient care delivery services of the hospital.
• Provide competent leadership and direction for all hospital codes and/or crisis management.
• Serve as a clinical resource person in delivery and supervision of direct and indirect care processes.Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and supervisor experience in an acute care hospital.
  • Current Texas State RN license.
  • CPR (American Heart Association) certification.
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
  • NIHSS certification required within 90 days of hire/transfer date.
