Job Description:

Seeking experienced RNs for part-time weekend night shifts in Corpus Christi, TX and surrounding areas, providing one-on-one care to patients with complex medical needs.

Aveanna's Private Duty nurses play a vital role in helping patients transition home from the hospital and receive the continuous care they need to thrive. Our nurses work closely with patients and their families to develop personalized care plans that address their unique needs and goals.

We currently have patients in need of care in the Corpus Christi area, requiring 8-16 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday nights. As a Private Duty nurse with Aveanna, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

    Responsibilities:
    
    • 
      
    • Implementation of Physicians' Prescribed Plan of Care - develop and implement personalized care plans for patients
      
    • Patient Assessments and Coordination of Care - conduct thorough assessments and coordinate care with patients and families
      
    • Administration of Prescribed Medication, Treatments, and Therapies - provide medical care and interventions as prescribed by physicians
      
    • Compliant, Timely Documentation of Care Provided - maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care
      
    • Health Promotion, Teaching, and Training of Family Members - educate patients and families on healthy habits and disease management
      
    • Responsible for Accepting and Writing Verbal Orders from Physicians - communicate effectively with physicians and patients
      
    • Follow-Up with Physician, Client, Family Members, Staff, and Case Manager - maintain open communication and collaboration with patients and healthcare teams
      
    • Performs Other Appropriate Duties as Assigned - adapt to changing needs and priorities
      
      
      Qualifications:
      
      • 
        
      • Must Have and Maintain an Active, Unencumbered License (RN/LPN/LVN) - meet state-specific licensure requirements
        
      • Current CPR Certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLS - maintain current certification in CPR
        
      • TB Skin Test (Current Within Last 12 Months) - meet TB testing requirements
        
      • Six Months Prior Hands-On Nursing Experience Preferred but Not Required - prior experience in nursing a plus, but not necessary
        
      • Must Have Reliable Transportation - ensure reliable transportation to patient visits
