Job Summary:The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. This role involves preparing equipment, assisting physicians during examinations and treatments, and administering prescribed medications. The RN also changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors patient vital signs. Additionally, the RN observes and maintains records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care, prioritizing individual needs and preferences.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
• Conduct thorough assessments, identifying potential health risks and developing strategies for mitigation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.About Our Medical Surgical Department:We are a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment. Our department has an average daily census of 14 and a monthly census of approximately 420 patients. We treat a wide range of medical conditions, including pneumonia, cellulitis, COPD, diabetes, heart failure, renal failure, chest pain, and liver failure. Our team is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest medical advancements and best practices.Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Texas State RN License.
  • One year of experience in nursing preferred.
  • CPR (American Heart Association) certification.
  • ACLS (American Heart Association) certification within six months of hire/transfer date.
  • PALS (American Heart Association) certification within 18 months of hire/transfer date.
