Registered Nurse Inpatient Nights - Corpus Christi, TXSouth Texas Surgical Hospital is a 5 Star CMS Rated Facility in search of Talent! This position provides professional nursing care for an assigned group of patients across the age continuum, while complying with Hospital policies. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care. Will provide direct patient care as needed in areas of demonstrated competencies. May take call as needed or necessary. May serve as charge nurse as assigned and will demonstrates appropriate skills competencies. Provides care and services appropriate to age and needs of patients served. Nights- 7pm to 7am

--Qualifications:

• 
  
• Minimum of two years of experience required
  
• Orthopedic and/or bariatric nursing experience a plus.
  
• CPR valid upon employment and--Ability to achieve PALS & ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
  
• Knowledge of State, Federal and Accrediting Body regulations and standards related to healthcare.
  
• Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
  
• Graduate of approved school of Registered Nursing with current and valid licensure with Texas State Board of Nursing or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date if a permanent resident of Texas)
  
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others
  
• Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
  
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement.
  
• Is aware of professional nursing standard and performs in accordance with them.---
