reportsGeneral DescriptionUnder the supervision of the Director of
IDD services, performs highly advanced contracted psychological
work. Involves directing psychological activities and programs,
conducting psychological evaluations, diagnosing clients, providing
consultation and training on conducting sessions, and conducting
psychological research. Must comply with all contract, Medicaid,
HHSC, and Joint Commission standards as well as other applicable
standards as they arise.Education, Training, and Experience
(including licensure and certification)Must be licensed as a
psychologist by the State of Texas or a reciprocity state. Must
have or be willing to obtain HHSC certification for completing
Determinations of Intellectual Disability. Understands and
implements trauma informed care practices.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of psychology,
psychometrics, and physiological principles; of diagnostic
criteria; and of psychological evaluation methods. Skill in the use
of psychological evaluation and assessment techniques, and in
mediation procedures. Ability to plan and direct psychological
activities and research; to provide psychological counseling, to
interpret diagnostic evaluations; to analyze behavior; to develop
behavior modification and skill acquisition plans; to plan and
direct psychological activities and research; and to communicate
effectively.DetailsThe Center is seeking a Licensed Psychologist to
contract with who will conduct Determinations of Intellectual
Disability(DID) and endorsements to determine eligibility for IDD
Services and various HHSC programs. The DID process will require
review of previous psychological reports and other records to
determine the need for additional testing or the ability to
complete endorsement. The contractor will need to conduct
intelligence testing, Autism testing, and adaptive behavior
assessments as needed to make diagnostic assessments of consumers
or potential consumers. The contractor will complete endorsements
of current testing whenever possible. The contractor must follows
HHSC best practices guidelines when completing assessments and
writing reports. The contractor must complete DID reports, and
submit to the IDD Director or designee within 10 Center business
days along with all testing materials, booklets, score sheets, etc.
The contractor must ensure that documentation of service (HHSC Form
2122) for each individual is completed and submitted within 10
Center business days along with the DID. The contractor will ensure
that credentialing standards are met, including licensure
maintained and updated annually without lapse. All required Center
classroom and online training must be completed upon contract
execution, and updated annually. All training requirements set for
by HHSC for persons conducting DIDs will need to be completed
before conducting the first DID and then ongoing as required by
HHSC. The contractor will need to submit to criminal history
background check and Nurses "Abuse/Neglect" registry, or other
checks as required by the Center.We are a tobacco free
