Primary Responsibilities:


  • Perform patient care activities to assist physicians and nursing personnel, including procedures, injections, EKGs, phlebotomy

  • Record patient care documentation in the medical record

  • Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies

  • Organize exam and treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
    The pace is fast and you'll need be comfortable managing multiple priorities. You may be required to work in different locations, so scheduling flexibility is essential.

    Required Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or GED

    • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program

    • Active Medical Assistant certification

    • Current CPR certificate OR willingness to obtain it in 30 days

    • 1+ year(s) of experience as a Medical Assistant

    • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance
      Preferred Qualifications:

      • 1+ year(s) of related experience in a medical setting

      • Working knowledge of health insurance: HMO, PPO, Medicare and Medicaid

      • Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency

      • EMR and/or NextGen experience

      • Primary Care, IM or Urgent Care experience
