The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.What You Will Do In Your Role:
  • The Nurse Manager on the unit provides criteria for evaluating the Registered Nurse working in the unit.
  • The Nurse Manager oversees the care of women service patients.
  • Oversees the care of women services and provides for the development and evaluation of nursing staff.
  • Serves as a patient advocate with the health care system.What qualifications you will need:
    • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
    • Bachelor's Degree (BSN) in Nursing required.
    • Three years of experience as a staff registered nurse is required; Women services experience is highly preferred.
    • One-year management or Charge Nurse experience preferred.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) or (BCLS) required.
    • ACLS certification within six months of hire.Corpus Christi Medical Center is a630+ bed healthcare system of hospitals in Corpus Christiand the surrounding Coastal Bend community.
