About the Corpus Christi Symphony OrchestraThe Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra is seeking to fill the position of Executive Director.The CCSO is governed by a 30-member Board of Directors and has a staff of four full-time and three part-time employees.Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Valid drivers license
• Three years of successful leadership and management responsibility
• Two years of demonstrated successful non-profit fundraising experience
• Two years of office/personnel management
• Experience in writing grant applications and the requisite report responsibilities associated with receiving grant funding
• Demonstrated integrity, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic
• Experience in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures
• Vision for serving the community and fostering an audience representative of the city's populationPreferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Arts Management from an accredited college/university
  • Three years of progressively responsible leadership and management experience
  • Experience in a symphony orchestra leadership position
  • A working knowledge of music, musicians, concert production, and symphony operationsPrimary Responsibilities
    • Fundraising to support the mission of the Corpus Christi Symphony Society
    • Management of office personnel (4 full-time staff and 3 part-time staff)
    • Participation in the development and implementation of a Master Plan for the Symphony Society which supports the artistic, financial, and public relations objectives of the organization
    • Work with and attend to the needs of the CCSO Board and Musicians.
    • Work with the Music Director(s) and Symphony Board of Directors to envision the repertoire that provides exciting musical opportunities for both musicians and audience, while staying within the operational budget
    • Attend all functions of the Symphony Orchestra, Society, and Guild.
