Project Controls Manager - Capital ProjectsDate: Jan 11, 2023Location: New Orleans, Louisiana, United StatesCompany: EntergyPosting End Date:Work Place Flexibility: HybridLegal Entity: Entergy Services, LLCPlease Note: This position can be located at our New Orleans, LA, Baton Rouge, LA or Woodlands, TX office.JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:Ensures comprehensive project controls are implemented on Entergy projects and helps ensure projects have reliable cost and schedule estimates and achieve business goals on time and to budget. Ensures projects have cost, schedule, scope and risk controls implemented in accordance with Management Standard and in line with the requirements of the Stage Gate Process. Ensures contract agreements reflect project controls requirements and that contractors implement controls in line with those requirements where they are utilized for elements of the project. Provides direct oversight, coaching and support to Project Controls Specialist throughout the project lifecycle. This position is considered an individual contributor and will not be responsible for managing direct reports.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implements all Project Management Standards in the area of cost, schedule, scope, WBS, risk and issues management for assigned projects
• Works with the scheduler assigned to projects to prepare and maintains the Owner's schedule and to integrate the Owner's and all contractor's schedules into the master schedule for the project. Performs schedule analytics to determine the quality of the schedule and to perform progress assessments. Monitors and reports on compliance with schedule related contractual requirements by contractors
• Works with Analysts assigned to projects to prepare and maintains the required cost reports and forecasts. Validates the Estimate at Completion forecast. Prepares contingency analysis and report on contingency status
• Collaborates with the project manager and other project team members to identify, characterize and document project risks in a risk register and develops mitigation plans in accordance with the Standards. Performs quantitative risk analysis on project costs and schedule as required in the Standards
• Works with the project manager and other project team members to analyze change requests. Documents and tracks approved project changes
• Assists the project manager with issue and action item tracking as requiredMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Minimum education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent work experienceMinimum experience:
    • 10 years Capital Project management experience with project controls focus. Utility Capital Project experience essential
    • Desired:
    • Project controls experience on large scale capital projects
    • Experience of project controls implemented on projects executed under various types of contract agreements including EPC. Both contractor and owner construction project controls experienceMinimum knowledge, skills and abilities:
      • Superior knowledge of the fundamentals of scheduling, cost control, and risk management
      • Superior knowledge of scheduling software packages and related analytics
      • Superior skills with spreadsheet based analytics
      • Knowledge of project and construction management fundamentals
      • Critical Thinking -- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
      • Complex Problem Solving -- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
