Candidate SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:Minimum Bachelor's Degree (B. S.) or equivalent in Civil Engineering. (Masters degree a plus)13+ years of experience in civil engineering with focus on design and infrastructureHeavy Civil and municipal project management experience working directly with clients and sub-contractors, developing and managing budgets, technical writing/reports, and developing and reviewing project schedulesExperience with pursuits and proposals with municipal clients preferredSupervise and provide direction to junior and mid-level staff. Daily coordination amongst team members including disciplines such as geotechnical, structural, electrical, and architectsMust be able to interact with several different clients in the execution of projectsShould be a self-starter with good communication skills able to work effectively with both internal and external clients and stakeholdersAbility to lead, locally in Corpus Christi, and assist in Texas business development effortsStrong presentation skills and communication skillsMust be a registered professional engineer in the state of TexasMust have ability to travel to clients and job sites and be willing to attend meetings after regular business hoursJob DescriptionMott MacDonald offers an opportunity to have a career with the premier employer in the civil engineering industry. We are currently looking for a Senior civil project manager to join our team in Corpus Christi, TX. Primary job responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Oversee the completion and execution of a variety projects a variety of projects ranging in total fee of $50,000 to $1,000,000+Ability to schedule projects, coordinate other disciplines and subcontractors. Periodically reviews project schedule and progress on the projects they are assignedOutlines problems and methods of approach for other engineers in the successful execution of projectsAssists in the completion and execution of several varied assignments simultaneously. Must be able to multi-task several assignments and/or deliverablesReviews and analyzes a variety of scientific and engineering data to determine requirements to meet objectivesAbility to setup project budgets to meet client expectations and which are profitable to the firmAbility to effectively scope, budget, and manage delivery of new projectsApplies knowledge of engineering or scientific principles and practices in broad areas of assignment and related fieldsWill be required to prepare reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for projectWill seek technical support for tasks outside his/her area of expertiseMust be active in professional organizations within the engineering field and desire to strengthen Mott MacDonald's brand in Texas and surrounding areaLead and/or assist in the pursuit of new projects involving request for proposals with clients, including technical writing of approachesMentor junior staff on fundamentals and general project management skillsWill develop relationships with existing and potential clients in effort to grow the local civil and municipal practiceJob ProfileHere at Mott MacDonald, we are experts in engineering, management, and development services supporting multisector project work in over 150 countries.
