Our team in Corpus Christi has a need for a Project Engineer in the
roadway and utility discipline that can also assist with
distribution design. In this role you will support project
designers, and field managers and work on utility relocation /
distribution projects for a variety of clients.
What you will do:
--- Assist with the identification, communication, and design of
roadway and utility tasks on Transportation/Roadway projects
--- Assist with the management and coordination of Subsurface
Utility Engineering (SUE) investigations, schedule, and
submittals
--- Frequent communication, both verbal and written, between
project managers, clients, and utility owners to ensure project
schedules are met and are compliant with federal, state and local
laws, in addition to any other regulations required by the
client
--- Work independently, and with project team, to meet client's
needs and objectives
--- Review and perform QA/QC of agreements, plans, specifications,
cost estimates and invoices submitted to assure compliance with
applicable rules, regulations, and requirements of the client
--- Perform project records research, obtaining design and utility
company contacts, prepare contact ledgers and utility conflict
tracking reports
--- Assist with and prepare client deliverables, exhibits, project
guides, project reviews, project invoices, expense reports and
project monitoring/field verification as needed
--- Research prior rights issues and franchise agreement issues
--- Utility permitting (preparation and submittal)
--- monitor progress of the project schedule
--- Prepare and/or verifying Record (as-built) drawings
--- Prepare project cost estimates
--- Assist with power distribution design as needed, using
proprietary client DDS software
Job Requirements

You have above average computer literacy and technical

working with others to accomplish goals and deliver excellent
customer results.
What you bring:
--- Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
--- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas
or ability to obtain within one year
--- Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience
--- Proficient with MicroStation or AutoCAD, Civil 3D software
