Job Description:

The Senior Cost Accountant is an integral part of the PK Finance Team working at our PK Industrial Corpus Christi Division. This position is responsible for managing and maintaining the cost accounting system, incorporating understanding of manufacturing operations, and generally accepted accounting practices. This position will report directly to the Controller PK Industrial.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following:ResponsibilitiesMonitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.Track actual expenses, comparing to budget and helping ensure projects are completed within budget.Collaborate with Project Managers to provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.Prepare regular financial reports for review to the PKI Controller and General Manager of Corpus.Analyze and report profit margins to Project Managers/General Manager/ControllerEnsure billing is prepared accurately and submitted to Corporate in a timely manner.Ensure AP invoices are approved, coded, and submitted to Corporate on a timely basis.Manage Work In Process and prepare month end journal entries.Verify material on hand as part of the month end close process.Other Accounting ResponsibilitiesCreate ad hoc reports and work on special projects throughout the month.Assist the PKI Controller with the annual review.Skills / Experience necessaryBachelors degree in accounting with 10 years' experience in relevant industry.2-5 years manufacturing or industrial services accounting experience.Strong critical/analytical skills.Strong attention to detail.Must possess excellent organization and communication skills.Microsoft Office experience required with emphasis in Excel.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Some of the PerksCompetitive Pay (Based on Experience)Paid time off and HolidaysHealth, Dental, and Vision BenefitsFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Health Savings Account (HSA)Company Match 401(k)Company Paid Life InsuranceCompany Paid Short- and Long-Term DisabilityCompany Paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP)About PKPK Companies is a diversified provider of skilled services for the industrial, commercial, oil & gas, and energy sectors.
