Collection: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 16 with 8 hall chairs
Number of Staff: 6-7 per shift Type of Staff: Day Shift: 1 charge,
1 triage, 4-5 nurses (one is mid-shift), 1 US, 1-2 techs Night
Shift: 1 charge, 1 triage, 4-5 nurses (one is mid-shift), US 7pm-
MN, 1 tech Patient Ratios: 1:4, low acuity ESI 4 & 5, may take 6
Type of Equipment: Cardiac monitors, IV pumps, and more EMR:
Meditech, vital signs flow into chart Typical Hiring Profile: Skill
set most recruited for: Travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters
Preferred or Nice to Have: CEN or TCRN, CPI Greater than two years
of emergency department experience List of Typical Procedures
Performed: Assessments Documentation Medication administration
Wound care Splinting IVs Urine collection Lab draws Care for ESI 5
through 1 Dress Code: Scrub color - royal blue preferred
Incorporate seasonal team spirit Unit Guidelines/Policies: Shift
huddle at 7am and 7pm is mandatory for everyone to attend unless
providing critical care at the time of the huddle EMTALA training
